Board governance

We value parent involvement in our programs through the Board of Directors. The voluntary participation of parents as members of the Board of Directors is necessary to ensure the smooth running of the organization.

Being a Board member means getting involved in your child’s center by participating in the implementation of the strategic plan, the approval of governance policies, the review of the operating budget, the performance of the executive management, etc. The Board of Directors, as an agent of the community, is responsible for helping La Boîte à soleil achieve its desired performance. The Board’s specific contributions are unique to its fiduciary role, and necessary for effective leadership and management.
Members provide support and expertise to the Board, and approve decisions in the best interests of the organization.

The Board of Directors meets 10 times a year in hybrid mode (virtual and at the administrative office).
