Each class room has a minimum of one qualified educator and one assistant educator working to become qualified. La Boîte à Soleil strongly encourages our non-qualified staff to follow the necessary steps in obtaining their diploma. Moreover, we offer our educators a series of training seminars and courses on a yearly basis.

Occasionally, we accept students from the “Early Childhood Education” college program who are completing an intership with one of our daycares in order to gain experience in the field. Each of these students must become familiar with our internal policies and provide us with the necessary documents according to the Ministry before accessing any of our programs.

College of Early Childhood Educators (College of ECE’s)

All of our Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) are members of the College of Early Childhood Educators. RECE’s are trained, qualified and responsible for the quality of learning in their groups. Only members of the College of ECE’s may use the title and the designation “Early Childhood Educator (ECE)” and “Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)”. In addition, only those who meet the registration requirements of the College of ECE’s and hold a certificate of registration in good standing may exercise the profession of an Early Childhood Educator.

RECE:

• Includes training in child development.
• Meets the individual needs and interest of children according to the stages of development.
• Plans learning programs focused on play.
• Creates a healthy learning environment that is safe and stimulating.
• Keeps an open communication with parents.
