Francophone Culture
Our goal is to provide a francophone environment for francophone and francophile families and children. We believe that early childhood services in French are essential to the learning and transmission of language and culture.
Educational Philosophy
La Boîte à soleil aims to create a positive and warm atmosphere in which your child will be happy to learn. Children will acquire knowledge according to their age, interests, abilities and individual choices, in an environment that encourages learning through play.
Special Initiatives
We have developed 4 programs: Un trésor dans mon jardin and Petite enfance, Grande forme focus on a healthy relationship with food and physical education. Nos petits soleils bridges the generational gap, and Literacy for Life fosters a strong foundation in literacy.

I am an infant...
I may be new to this world, but I already know what I need.

I am a preschooler...
I’m discovering the path to my individuality. People say I’m strong-willed, but I’m still very sensitive. I absorb everything around me and try to figure out for myself what works and what doesn’t. I’m a very sensitive person.

La Boîte à soleil is a French-language educational center that opened its first center in Welland in 1982, thanks to a group of volunteer parents who came together to form a committee to address the need for a daycare center for the French-speaking community.
Over the years, several centers have opened in different French schools. Today, we offer our early childhood, before- and after-school programs throughout the Niagara region.
