La Boîte à soleil is a francophone child care organization that offers a warm, secure and stimulating environment to all children in the Niagara Region. With competent, passionate staff and a setting based on the principles of play-based learning, we provide high quality programs and services that respond to parent’s needs and where children can thrive, learn and grow.

Our Strategic Priorities: A Shared Vision for the Future

La Boîte à soleil is embarking on an ambitious strategic journey to strengthen its role as a leader in Francophone early childhood education. Over the next few years, five key priorities will guide our work. Together, they reflect our commitment to building a strong, equitable, and inspiring future for our staff, families, and community — one that contributes to the transmission of the French language and culture.

Staff Well-Being

Create a healthy, respectful, and stimulating work environment at La Boîte à soleil, where every staff member feels supported in their role, recognized for their contributions, and proud to be part of the team.

Educational Quality and Family Experience

Offer children and families an exceptional educational experience rooted in the French language and culture — one where stability, communication, and kindness are at the heart of each day.

Governance and Strategic Leadership

Strengthen the Board of Directors’ capacity to fully exercise its fiduciary, strategic, and co-creative roles by ensuring governance that is rigorous, aligned, and connected to the organization’s realities.

Community Engagement and Outreach

Position La Boîte à soleil as a key player in Francophone early childhood education by enhancing its community presence, developing meaningful partnerships, and actively contributing to regional development.
